Monday 31st May

"I don't know why I don't like Mondays".....

Yes I do!!! Up and at em, early to work! And this morning MasterA decided that since Daddy was getting up to him he would wake at 5am instead of 4am....how considerate:-S

Another day another dollar so far as work goes!

I spent much of the day trying to come up with an idea for this weeks theme of "The Cirlce of Life". I contacted a place in Rockingham and I am able to go on Thurs or Fri to take my shots. Hopefully if everything works out it should be good!!!

I went to the gym on the way home from work and did half and hour on the bike and came home to my overzealous boys!!!

We had the sheperds pie that I made yesterday and it was yum. Think it will be homemade pizza tomorrow night :-D

Tomorrow I am restarting my official Project 365. I have missed a few days in my PAD over the last 5 months. This challenge has been set by the WAPF. I have to pay a registration fee, which SHOULD motivate me to get a shot every day. At the end I will get a photobook of all my photos and it will go to being accredited in the Amateur Photographer Awards. Sooooooooooooooooooooo......starting tomorrow I WILL TAKE A PICTURE EVERY DAY!!!!!

I didn't slack off tonight and decided I need to start as I mean to go on and MasterJ's transformer was my victim :-)

Sunday 30th May

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!!!

Today was the third day in a row that I have had a 4am wake up call from MasterA. I tried to chuck his bottle in his bed hoping he would quieten down after drinking it and maybe go back to sleep....but nope!

It was a busy morning. I ironed my shirts for work (ugh) and labelled all the boys daycare clothes as I had been a bit slack in that department. While refereeing arguements (re: MasterJ being nasty to MasterA) I spent some quality time with my Thermomix - "Thermy". Have I introduced you to Thermy? This (expensive) appliance, chops, cooks, blends, kneads, steams.....ermmmm pretty much everything you need to do in the kitchen.
Meet Thermy :-D

Anyway, this morning I made some vegetable stock (used in many TM recipes) a yummy shepherds pie (for the kids dinner tonight and ours tomorrow night), a banana cake and some bread rolls (which were yummy and warm for lunch :-D) All this was made within 3 hours.

I caught up on a couple of shows I have had recorded for a long time while the boys were asleep and when MasterJ woke up I took myself off to bed for a couple of hours. Not sure I actually got much sleep, but it was a nice break anyway! ALthough it did mean I neglected my camera today and had to rush around to find something to take a photo of. I decided on this perfume bottle as it is actually stained glass of sorts and I forgot I had it!

Rounded the day off with fish and cheese sauce for dinner....yummmoooo

Sat 29th May

MasterJ woke up feeling better this morning - so much so that he decided he needed to add in more bad behaviour to make up for what he missed out on yesterday.

With his tonsilitis and MasterA still being wheezy with a cough, swimming was missed again, but I did take MasterJ to football.

Once I delivered MasterJ home and took off to Target to look for some bargains - ON MY OWN!!! I also had a nice lunch and was even more surprised to return home to both boys having nice long sleeps.

Later in the afternoon the boys and I went for a walk with AuntyC, MasterS and BabyW and fed the ducks. I managed to get a few half decent photos with this one being the one I used for my PAD.

BabyW is little but soooo wise to the damage that this little hand of MasterJ can do!

So much for a new beginning...LOL

So, I managed a post on Monday and it is now Friday!! lmao

Tuesday wasn't a great day. A few hours into the day and I started feeling sick and lightheaded again - so struggled through the day and didn't end up going to the gym as planned on the way home from work.

Wednesday was a better day, until I went to pick MasterJ up from school to be met with a LIST of the things he had done wrong during the day. These things included drawing on the table, ripping a display off the wall, throwing cars and other things, walking around with objects in his mouth and flicking a piece of string with cotton reels on and catching another kid in the eye. I keep telling the carer that he NEEDS watching and removing things from him when he does something wrong and he NEEDS to be completely removed from the situation as well. Hopefully things will improve over time.

I went off to hockey training on Weds evening and although a tad chilly it was a good work out! Came home and watched the State of Origin - GO THE MIGHTY MAROONS!!!!

Back to kindy gym on Thursday morning and off to the shops afterwards. Grocery shopping in the afternoon and by the end of the day was feeling pretty crappy again. I did get my shot done for the weekly challenge. This weeks theme is Stained Glass. I had grandeous plans to go up to the city or Freo and hunt down some great stuff for an HDR, but it just isn't going to happen. So I decided to take a different spin on the theme and ended up with this :-D

As the day got later yesterday, MasterJ started complaining that his mouth was sore. This continued this morning after he woke up at 420am....yes 420....AM.......

We went to visit AuntyC, MasterS and BabyW and the boys played quite well together. But by the time we left MasterJ was lounging all over me and acting a bit unwell, he also felt quite warm. He wouldn't go to bed when we got home and turned miserable pretty quickly. I took him off to the DR's, which he was NOT happy about. Turns out he has a throat infection, probably tonsilitis. So instead of food for the rest of the day (he refuses to eat anything) he has been having antibiotics, Nurofen and Panadol. He seemed to perk up a bit before going to bed. Although it is not nice that he is sick, it was nice to have a days repreive of his behaviour. It is not often that he sits still for hours and stays quiet!

24 May 2010 - A New Beginning

Oh dear, I have missed quite a few weeks!!! So today is a new start!

Lots has been happening over the last few weeks and it has been busy busy busy!! The boys had a lot of fun with Nana and Poppy being here. There were plenty of trips to the park and playing outside with the football, bikes, cars etc!!

MasterJ celebrated his 3rd birthday in true Dinosaur style and had an awesome party. It was great to see him playing nicely with all of his little friends. His big half sister also came to his party and that was lovely too. Unfortunately MasterA missed his big brothers party as he was quite ill.

In fact he has been sick with one thing or another for the last week and a bit :-( He had a bad bout of gastro which seemed to be exasperated (sp?) by the biggest molars coming through that I have EVER seen!! He now has a chesty cough and cold, but at least seems to be getting back to his normal self!

He has come so far in the last few weeks. Since he started walking he seems to have found his voice, his personality and a little bit of attitude!! He is still the cutest little boy you've ever seen and is my PAD for today.

Yes I have been keeping up with my PAD, but think I have missed a couple of days in the last month - they can be seen here:

So today I decided it was a new beginning for everything and for me to get back in control - so I went to the gym after work. It's about time I get back into it and shed some of these kg's. This time last year I was on a roll with the weight loss and I feel I am almost back to where I was at the start of my health kick last year :-( Hopefully the gym, coupled with hockey training and games I should be able to get rid of some more :-)

I made a Thai Green Curry in the Thermomix tonight and it was YUMMO!! I have just spent most of the evening sorting out my photos and updating my PAD folder on Flickr and Facebook, so things feel like they are getting back in order!!

I also saw scan pics today of "Bubbles", my step-grandchild to be....have I mentioned before that I am going to be a Nana :-O
