29th June 2010

29Jun10

Well, what an interesting day has been had today!

I had a meeting on at work today that was supposed to start at 830 and finish at 500 offsite. So I rocked up, in plenty of time as usual, and wondered why, by 825 I had only seen the CEO and XCOM members wander in in formal dress. It turns out that an email went out late yesterday saying that the purpose of the day had changed, as had the start time (to 9am) and we should come in work uniform. So there is me, ready to start at 830 in casual clothing.......great!!

The day changed to everyone being informed of a business changing project that is being undertaken. I am actually a team member on the project and had to sign a privacy agreement 2 weeks ago, so I was already aware of it. But today they announced it to the leadership group. I also got to meet the CEO - not bad considering I have now worked there for 6 months!!

As a result of this project, I have proposed going full time for the next 3 months and then assess my hours again. It is going to be full on and although exciting is a little daunting too.

Turns out that going full time for a few months is not such a bad thing financially. I sat down and had a good hard look at the budget this evening and it looks like both of us working 3 days a week on the same salary that I am on now is not going to sustain us long term. So one of us probably needs to work full time, or both of us 4 days or some other mixture. It is very timely as MrJ has an interview on Thurs and has been contacting other about jobs today. So at least he knows what he should be aiming for salary/time wise.

Since I still left early this morning, I spent some time wandering around the gardens at the Burswood to get some photos. I have a new entry for this weeks challenge of "Animals" (below) and todays Project 365 shot is above.

28 June 2010

Ho hum, Monday came around again - when will they banish Mondays? Maybe that's something Julia can work on LOL

Today I had my performance review. That was an interesting experience that actually ended up in a better result than I expected. There was plenty of debating and discussion around some of the categories and differences in ratings and in the end I think I came out on top.

I picked up MasterA's wallpaper border for his room, shame I haven't done anything to progress the decoration on that front!!!

Both boys seemed a bit whingey when I got home, but MasterA seems to have perked up a bit since being drugged up - same thing happened last night.

I was at a loss of what to do for my photo today and this weeks challenge is "Animals"...YAAAAAAWWWWWWWWNNNNNNN
So I thought I would see if I could get my prize fish to stay still long enough and try and kill 2 birds with one stone. I have entered this into the challenge, but that may change before the end of the week if I can find something more interesting to do.

A relaxing morning (well as relaxing as any morning gets in this house!) in readiness for my hockey match this afternoon.

We were playing the team we played in the first round. They beat us 4-0 then and they are 2nd top of the ladder, we are 2nd bottom!!!

It was a good, tough game and we got flogged 5-0. It could have been far worse considering the opportunities they had! So our defence actually did quite well!

I copped a ball to my shin, which has bruised, even through my shinnies and a stick across the chest - (BITCH). It think I am going to be feeling the pain tomorrow - it was a hard game!

This morning I dressed MasterA up in his dinosaur outfit that I bought for MasterJ's birthday party. MasterA didn't get to wear it for the party as he was sick and I have been meaning to get him in it and take some pics, so I did this morning. He wasn't impressed with the outfit and definitely did not want his picture taken. On the other hand MasterJ did a fantastic modelling job for me!

So today's photo is my cute little Triceratops :-), but I have also added one of MasterJ.

26 June 2010

YAY a ME day!!!

I don't get a chance to do any scrapping at home anymore, so my stuff remains packed in my bag and cart. Today was a 9am-9pm scrapping day.

I did 21 pages of MasterJ's album, which has got me up to early November 2009. It's a shame that I only get to do this one Saturday a month now as I feel as if I am falling behind again :-(

Anyway, it was a great day and I took my photo for today at sunset out of the house we were at in Halls Head.

25 June 2010

Yippeeeeee......it's FRIDAY!!!

The boys had a bit of a sleep in today, so I did too.....about 630!! Woot Woot!

It was FREEZING this morning - frost on the lawn and everything! It was 0.2degC when i got up.

Today was Party Day for MasterJ at school and ever since I told him that he could dress up he wanted to go as Spiderman. So he got dressed in Spiderman gear, including jocks, socks and shoes! After about 5 minutes he decided he wanted to go as a dinosaur. So he ended up going as a Spidersaurous!!!

While the boys were at school we went on our monthly trip to Bunbury for our hair cuts. It was much more relaxing without having to worry about what the boys were doing. My new do is just lufferly - gone lighter on top and had a bit more of a style cut. After our hair we stopped at the foreshore so I could take some photos and we went on to VAT2 for lunch which was yummo...and again relaxing!!!

On the way down, we drove past a crashed burnt out wreck of a car, so we stopped on the way back so I could snap it for this months club theme of broken and busted. So this is my shot for today aswell.

24 June 2010

Brrrr...the rain stopped and although it was sunny it was a cold day!

I took off to kindygym early today in search of something to photograph. It then occurred to me that I have had my eye on a graffitied skate park just opposite the Requatic Centre for some time. This weeks theme is Portrait, so I thought I could get MasterJ to model for me infront of the graffiti and get an HDR portrait. So we traipsed across the road and MasterJ was very cooperative! This is the shot I have entered, I really like it :-D
24Jun10

Grocery shopping was as exciting as always :-S and this afternoon we went to Bunnings and picked up the paint for MasterA's room. It was an expensive tin of paing, because we also ended up getting a fire, theft and waterproof safe. It wasn't cheap but I think it will be worth it. Now I have to burn all our photos and videos to DVD's and we can store them in the safe along with important documents. Required for peace of mind I think.

We rounded off the day by having dinner out at the shops and I picked up some clothes for the boys in the Pumpkin Patch sale. Looks like it is going to be another cold night and day. They say it is going down to 1deg C over night :-O

Oh, I nearly forgot. Today was a momentous day in politics with Julia Gillard becoming Australias first female prime minister. I feel sad for Kevvy in how it happened, but I am excited to see what she does in this leadership position.

HAPPY 18 MONTHS MASTERA!!!!!

Where has my baby boy gone??? :-( Every day he seems to get older and older with everything he is learning and doing. It is great to watch, but sad at the same time.

When I got home from work today MrJ had emptied the spare room which was a surprise as it was not something I was looking forward to doing. So now it is empty, I guess I better get to decorating it! I have picked the colour for the walls and I need to go and get the paint. Then do the painful preparation (cleaning, masking tape etc) and get to the paint job! The wallpaper border has arrived, so just need to pick it up. Although there is probably only a couple of days work in the room I expect it will take about 4 weeks to get done and furnished given the time available to actually do the work. But I guess I am procrastinating as well, as I don't want MasterA to move out of his room as it is a growing up milestone!

I made spag bol for dinner and decided to use that as my subject for todays photo.

BLAH

BLURGH

BLAH

That's all I have to say about today..............

Other than I am so impressed with MasterA. He sat for ages stacking the Duplo blocks properly into a tower. His concentration and patience is amazing, as is his ability to understand instructions. I ask him to put something in the bin and he toddles off and does it straight away. I ask him where his bed it and he takes off as if to go to bed. He was pushing a block trolley yesterday and got annoyed that he couldn't push it any further so i told him to go backwards - he didn't even looked confused, just pulled it backwards and kept going! That's pretty good for an 18 month old isn't it?

21 June 2010 - A Day Off :-S

The big babies looking after the little baby <3
Since MrJ is still in Darwin, I had the "day off" today to look after the boys!

The day started with a trip to the doctors for MasterJ's sore ear and I thought I would get MasterA checked out at the same time since he has been coughing and spluttering and snotting for about 6 weeks now. The result was a a dose of AB's for both of them for ear infection.

We went to Maccas to meet up with AuntyC and her boys and Y and her kids. I'm not sure Maccas knew what had hit them :-O It seems the kiddies had a good time running riot. MasterA decided that any food or drinks on ANY table was fair game and wandered around helping himself......he even took off inside to help serve the drive thru. The worm has turned on that front!!I am bracing myself for a repeat of MasterJ now!
More Cheese!
I had to go to the shops after Maccas and MasterA decided that he would scream for the entire time, I think he needed some sleep - BADLY! He did have a couple of hours once we got home and I got about 40mins out of MasterJ.

I did get some shots while at Maccas - surprise surprise. I have posted a couple that I particularly liked.

In my quest to capture a photo to enter into the agricultural section of the Perth Show I decided to take a nice long drive out to Beverley today. There was an open day on at the Avondale Discovery Centre, so I loaded up the boys and took off out to the country.

I met up with C and her family and we wandered around snapping away. It was an absolute HDR paradise with all the old machinery lying around. MasterJ was having a ball until after about an hour he hit the wall big time. He started complaining that his ear hurt, then he just ended up a blithering mess. When i said we would leave and get some medicine he started having a meltdown about leaving. Can't win!!

Anyway, as soon as the car started he was asleep and for the 2 hour trip home he slept for about an hour and a half and the other half hour he continued to cry :-(

When we got home he lay on the couch, but once the medicine kicked in he was back to normal albeit with a very high temperature. I think we may be off to the Dr tomorrow!

I got so many photos today it is hard to pick one for my daily shot!

Here is a link to my Flickr album as there were many more to choose from!

Today was always going to be a busy one with having to take both boys to soccer and swimming on my own!

MasterJ was a PITA at soccer and after weeks on end of trying to get him to do what he is supposed to be doing I have decided that he is not doing it again next term - it is too painful for everyone involved. We will do it again when he shows some interest in it. Whereas at swimming he is moving up another class next term. I am so proud of him. He only moved into this level this term and he is moving up past kids that have been in this level for a couple of terms and are at least a year older than him!! Well done MasterJ!!!

MasterA hasn't been swimming for about 5 or 6 weeks due to his cough, cold etc but I thought he better go this week. After 15 minutes of fighting me to get IN the pool, he spent 20 of the 30 minutes screaming his head off because he didn't want to do what he was told........history repeating itself!!!

MasterA had a decent 3 hour sleep, but MasterJ was under an hour.

I couldn't play hockey today as I had no-one to look after the boys, so I took them down to watch instead. I didn't get to see much of the game as I was running around after them trying to make sure MasterJ didn't kill MasterA or that MasterA kill himself on the concrete! We all survived!!

I snuck out when the boys were asleep and used our house as todays subject for my photo!

16-18th June 2010

Oops, it's been 3 days since posting :-O

Well, Wednesday was a normal old work day and also the day that MrJ took off to Darwin with his brother, 2 nephews and BIL. They have gone up to go on a fishing trip and do the 3 days of the V8 Supercars.

Wednesdays picture was taken at bath time. My speedlite wasn't working properly and I haven't yet mastered this slow shutter speed, kids and speed lite inside at night. But I think this one is passable!

Thursday was another wet miserable day. I took the boys to kindygym and did the grocery shopping on the way home. Both boys had decent sleeps. I took a little detour on the way to kindygym to see if I could get any decent landscapes. I'm not really happy with what I got, but at least it is a picture for today.

Over the last few days I have been migrating my photos from my PC onto my Mac Book. I am pretty sure I have got them all transferred. Now they need organising in iPhoto!! It will be worth it in the end, but it may take me some time to get to the end!!

I missed out on hockey training on Weds night as I had no-one to look after the boys and I won't be able to play this weekend either! :-(

Queensland won the State of Origin. They were awesomely unbeatable, while NSW were atrociously arrogant and nasty.

I got all the washing done today as it seems we are having a spell from the rain and I then spent half the day trying to pick photos to submit into the Perth Royal Show. I picked some in each category and toddled off to Photocoffee to find out how to print and mat them. I was very fortunate to have Kingsley look at the ones I had picked and give me some constructive feedback. So out of the 9 or so I took, about 3 of them were any good for the show!! Even then, they needed some further tweaking!! I am so glad I took them in, I really appreciated the feedback. So I have made the little alterations he suggested and I have also picked some others to replace those that didn't make the cut!! I am going to take a trip out into the country with the boys on Sunday to see if I can capture any that will suit the "Agricultural Life" category!

I also went to Bunnings and grabbed a couple of sample pots of paint for MasterA's big boy bedroom. I have tried them both out on the wall and think I will go with the darker of the 2. I will check it out tomorrow and see if I change my mind!!

Then, this afternoon.....I watched a movie!! I can't remember the last time I sat and watched an entire movie, interruption free without falling asleep. It was Confessions of a Shopaholic, and it was a good movie!!

For my picture today, I took the camera out before I hung the washing out, as there were water droplets everywhere. Turns out that I didn't end up using a water droplet photo though! I am using this shot that I got of one of the pretty little purple flowers we have on a bush.

Both boys had a great day at school today. it is so much nicer to walk into MasterJ's room and be told that he has had a fantastic day and that they are very proud of him!!

Oh, I almost forgot, MasterA has slept in for 4 days in a row now!! The earliest he has woken up in the last 4 days is 615am....does that mean the 4am wake ups are a thing of the past? It is great to be getting a decent nights sleep again! MasterJ is still up early, but all I hear is the door to the lounge room periodically getting opened to see if we're up, then it gets shut again! When I go to get MasterA, MasterJ is lying in bed with his door open and light on! Finally, we're having a win!!

Tuesday 15th June 2010

It has been a very dark and wet day today.

I left work at 2pm since I did an 11.5hr day yesterday - even though I still did my quota of 7.5hours!! I went to the wallpaper place on the way home and ordered the border for MasterA's big boy room. Now I have to get the room empty and go and buy the paint. Then I can make a start on decorating it!

The boys both had good days at school and seemed pretty happy this evening.

This weeks challenge is "Old Age" so I asked MrJ if he could get his Pops old Sextant out so I could use that as my subject. It is about 95 years old and I thought if I processed it correctly it would fit the theme. So this is my entry for this week.

14Jun10
Today was always going to be a long day as I was facilitating a 9-5pm workshop. But I didn't account for one of the bosses wanting to talk to me AFTER the meeting. So I left home at 545am and got home at 640pm......arrrrgghhhhh

Lucky I made enough dinner last night for tonight as well!

So todays photo is nothing flash. I actually wanted to write LONG DAY, but the G is missing from the collection, so I had to settle with Monday :-D

13 June 2010

After a lazy Sunday morning I took off to my hockey match. We have had two weeks with no games, so it was good to get back into a game. We lost 1-0, but it was a good game!

That was pretty much my day! I snapped a cute shot of MasterA with our dog in the morning and that is my photo for today.

I spent the evening learning how to use iPhoto and I must say I am impressed with what I have found so far!!

12 June 2010 - Day Trip to Busselton

12jun10
ANOTHER 4am wake up call. It seems that MasterA is desperate for his milk in the mornings....I don't know why as it is not as if he goes to bed hungry at night!!! Hopefully it is just a phase and he will go back to his standard 5am wake ups!!!

It was another frigid morning here and we set off down to Busselton. MrJ's eldest daughter, who only recently came back into MrJ's life, is doing Nursing Prac down in Busselton for 3 weeks. So we thought we would take a the boys on a day trip and visit her for the day. It was an uneventful trip down, with only a couple of whinges from MasterJ about 10 minutes out of Busso.

We arrived earlier than we said, so we headed to the jetty where I snapped a few pics. I left MrJ and MasterJ there while I went to pick up H. On the way I stopped at a quaint little church to take a few piccies :-D
Untitled_Panorama2s
We took the boys into an indoor play area that was a bit old and smelly - but MasterJ had a ball (literally) in the ball pool and MasterA was in hysterics watching his big bro! We had a yummy lunch and then went to this huge (sandy) park where much fun was had by all!!

While MrJ took H home I stayed and snapped some more, the clouds were awesome! By the time he came back to get me MasterJ was snoring his head off!!!

_CSC7556_7_5_tonemappeds

I have spent the evening editing photos and as per usual I have more than one from today that I like :-P So I have posted a few here.

11 June 2010 - Hello Apple Mac :-D

11jun10s
The boys first Friday at school today and I had plenty planned!!!

The bedding was washed and hung out while my breath was still visible outside!! After the boys were dropped off at school we headed to the shops to pick up some nappies and boxes to organise the houseful of disorganised toys! MrJ decided before we left that he wanted to purchase a net book to take away to Darwin and then use for his guide scope program on the telescope. So while I was in Medicare he browsed Dick Smiths. When I went into Dick Smiths he was discussing the net books with the sales chick and when he finished I asked her to give me some info on the Mac Books. I know that they are being widely used for music and photography and was interested in the pros and cons. In the end, for photos they are the best devices on the market.

Needless to say, our brief shopping trip for nappies and boxes turned into an expensive one hour, with us both returning home with new hardware to configure and play with :-O

I also went to the decorator centre to pick out a wallpaper border for MasterA's big boy room, only to find they no longer sell them there....grrrrrr. The closest place is in Mandurah. I think I will research and order online. Once I have the border I can get the paint and get on with it!

When we returned home from the shops, we tipped all of the toys out into a (BIG) pile and started the arduous task of sorting, putting things back together and finding homes for all of the toys. The result is a box of toys in MasterA's room, one in MasterJ's room (plus all of his that do not fit in a box) a couple in the play area and only one in the lounge room. Although it doesn't look like we did much, everything is back where it is supposed to be and the toys are segregated in the boxes.....I wonder how long that will last lmao!!

Once the toys were done and the new 'putes were charged it was time to get into learning how my Mac Book worked. I must say that I have been very surprised at how intuitive it is and how much easier it is to do things than on my PC. Installing is a breeze, it shuts down and boots up in a split second and has all the functionality and more of my PC.

One disappointing thing was when I went to download Photoshop. I discovered that the one that I purchased earlier in the year is for Windows only. I have since found out that I can change the platform but only by upgrading as the version I have is no longer available. So it's not as bad as it could have been, but I will have to get in touch to get Adobe to sort it out for me.

The boys both had a good day at school and we all had yummy spag bol (cooked in Thermy) for dinner. Then I have spent the rest of the evening installing software etc on my new toy :-D I haven't yet downloaded any photos or transferred any files from my PC. That will have to wait until I get some more spare time! I will try the photos tomorrow night if I get a chance. Tomorrow we are off to Busselton for the day. MrJ's eldest daughter is down there on Nursing Prac for 3 weeks, so we are going for a day trip and I hope to get some nice pics at the same time :-D

10 June 2010

Blurgh....I don't know why, but last night after going to bed I woke up after about an hour feeling really sick. One of those feel sick episodes that does not allow me to lie down flat. Everytime I lay down to go to sleep I would feel sick. So I spent the best part of the night sitting bolt upright. I think I managed about 2 hours :-S

So today I have been feeling pretty rotten. But we went to kindygym this morning and did the grocery shopping afterwards.

This afternoon I tried to do as little as possible! It will be early to bed for me tonight!

Ordinarily I would have taken my camera out and about, but all I could manage was 5 minutes outside with MrJ's boots as my victims for my photo for today!!

9 June 2010

I started the day off on the South Perth foreshore taking photographs at 6am when it was 6 deg C!!! What I do for my hobby :-D

Today I had an old associate of mine come and give us some training at work, so we were in training from 730am til 430. It was great and has given me some clear direction on where we should be going with Process Improvement within the business. Now to run a pilot and sell it to the XCOM team!!

So I didn't get home until 530pm, then after dinner and baths it was time for me to go off to hockey training! I couldn't believe that my water at the end of training was colder than it was when I put it in the bottle out of the tap. I soon found out that it was because it was only 5 deg C outside :-O

So I was freezing cold at the beginning and the end of the day today!!!

Today was the third successive day that MasterJ has come home from school with a clean slate for his behaviour. He seems so proud when he comes up to me and tells me "Jaz didn't tell me off today".....maybe we are having a breakthrough?? We'll see how kindygym goes tomorrow!!

8 June 2010

Not too bad a day at work, busy and I didn't get home until close to 5pm. MrJ was picking up the boys from school so I snuck out with my macro lens to get my picture for today:

After dinner, baths and putting the kids to bed, I took off to my monthly photography club meeting. This month we had a guest speaker Alex Ang, a student from ECU. He gave a presentation on his favourite style of photography - portraits. He was the judge for this months competition, which I was quite happy with as the shot I entered for the "Sepia" challenge was a portrait of MasterS and MasterW. Looking at the other 71 entries I really didn't think I stood much of a chance, so I was stoked when they announced that I had won the theme category with this shot :-D

7 June 2010

Public holiday monday in WA...:-D Only a 2 day working week this week which is good and bad. I have so much work to do I don't know when it is going to get done, but at least I only have to work 2 days!!

Today we took the boys out on the boat. It was the first time on the boat for MasterA (well outside the womb anyway!) and only the second time for MasterJ.

It was 6 deg C when we left home just before 8am. We decided to go up to Perth and launch from the Coode St ramp so we could tool around in the river. We launched just after 9am and took off towards Fremantle.

MasterJ loved it, looking around, driving the boat telling daddy to go FASTER!!! MasterA was not too sure about it all, until the food started coming out, then he was happier! He took a few tumbles during the course of the trip and seemed happiest sitting strapped in the pram - I think he liked the security!!

We went all the way into Freo, checking out the big ships on the way through. We moored outside Cicerellos and grabbed a bite to eat. It was great sitting in the boat eating chippies :-D ahhhh so this is how the other half live????

I came home and downloaded my camera to find I took 398 photos today :-O so I have spent the rest of the day sorting through them and editing. This weeks theme had not been announced before the trip, but when we got off the boat I found out that it was Whimsical Winte. I hoped that I would have a shot in amongst the 398 shots that would be usable. This is the one that I have chosen for the theme. I am not sure it actually fits, but it is going to be my entry!!!

Both boys fell asleep straight away in the car and went to bed when we got home, where MasterA slept for another 2 hours and MAsterJ about 40 minutes.

I made chicken and bacon roll for dinner in Thermy and it was yummo!!!

I have had a hard time picking one photo for todays PAD.....but this is the one I went with as I love the colours, composition etc

6 June 2010

A slight sleep in this morning...I lay in bed listening to the chaos out in the other room until about 630am...I'm sure it may have bought me an extra, um, 5 minutes quality sleep LOL

I took the boys down to the foreshore this morning for a walk and a play in the park. MasterJ rode his scooter and MasterA sat in his pram pulling his shoes and socks off! :-S

I wished I had a very long lens this morning as there were dolphins swimming off the beach, they looked great but were too far away to get anything worth keeping! I took a few scenic shots and most of the boys playing in the park. MasterA is all grown up, taking off on his own and climbing up onto the equipment. He walked across the bridge on his own and even came down the stairs properly, holding onto the hand rail.

We stopped off at Jamaica Blue for cookie and milkshakes before returning home.

After sleeps it was back outside to cause havoc this afternoon.

My photo for today is at the top and it is the moving granite ball that is at the foreshore. It is an HDR and I like the way it brings out all the detail in the ball and the surrounds.

I also got a landscape shot that I like and a great one of MasterA.

5 June 2010

Ahhh...Saturday!

MasterJ went to football and swimming this morning. MasterA missed out on the pool again today on account of his horrible cough and snotty nose. I think I may have to take him to the doctor this week and see if he needs ventolin or something similar, because this cough is not going away.

MasterJ was hit and miss at football but was good in the pool. He must've tired himself out because he fell asleep when sent to his room just before lunch time and had a 20 minute nap and still slept for almost 2 hours when he went to bed after lunch!!

Both boys played outside this afternoon while I took my camera around the garden. Todays shot is a macro of Stubbies eye. I like the reflection in his eye and the texture and colour of his fur.

I am waiting for the womens tennis finals to come on - I wonder if I can stay awake for it?

4 June 2010

Today I took the boys to Kings Park to the Lotterywest Play Area. What a fantastic place, I can't believe that I haven't been there sooner!

Anway, we went to meet up with my friend C and her little boy MrT. We met through the online parenting group when we were pregnant with MasterA and MrT. Two of her other kids came along which was great as they pandered to the kids every need - except that of changing pooey nappies!!

It was a lovely day and all the kids seemed to enjoy themselves. So todays photo is one from a selection that I took today and it is of MasterJ, dirty face and all!!!

3 June 2010

MasterA did not have a good night last night, lots of coughing and crying. I took him to the spare bed to try and comfort him, he ended up falling out :-O so back to the cot for him!!!

Kindygym today and we left early after MasterJ had pushed MasterS off one of the climbing things and kicked another kid in the head....I don't get him......

This afternoon I went to visit Rob and his butterfly garden to take some photos. http://www.perthbutterfly.com
I was hoping to get the full life cycle of a Monarch Butterfly for this weeks challenge of "The Circle of Life". I was not disappointed and came away with hundreds of shots!!! I have spent the evening trying to put them together in Photoshop for my entry and have been getting increasingly frustrated as I know what I want it to look like, but I don't know how to do it grrrrrr. So this is what I have settled on for my entry.

The Circle of Life

You can't see it very well here. Much better viewed on my Flickr. http://www.flickr.com/photos/41092729@N02/sets/72157624195517258/

So my photo for today is very obviously a butterfly!!!

I made the boys meatballs and mashed potatoes in Thermy tonight and we had homemade pizza - yummo!!!

Not a bad day at work, a long one, but I think I am seeing some glimmer of hope. Let's see if talk turns into action.

MasterA was my model for todays photo........

DAY 1 OF PROJECT 365

Today is the start of my new photo a day....wish me luck!!!

It was a work day, so hard to get motivation and inspiration for a photo, so I decided to do a symbolic photo to start off the challenge.

MasterJ was overall ok at school today, except that he bit another child on the leg while they were sitting down. The motivation is unknown and he was very quiet and sorry afterwards. I don't know what goes through his head, he has never been a "biter".

It looks like the thoughts of going to Bali may become a reality. The more research I do, the more doable I think it actually is. Some more research and hopefully I can book something for later in the year....yipppeeeeee!!!

I also have booked the boys into school for Fridays for a couple of months. This will allow time to do some things like getting MasterA's new bedroom decorated and then the new spare room and doing a good cleanup of my scrapping area and other things that I am just not getting the opportunity to do with no "free" days. We can then switch the Friday to a Monday when MrJ starts back at work.

Other than those major decisions, not much more to report today.
